Backlinks are absolutely essential if you want to get a high ranking in search engines for your website. In a nutshell, your website can be put on the first page of Bing, Google, or Yahoo if your customer types in the keywords that you target, as long as you have enough backlinks. If you just allocate a little bit of time to create the best linkbait you can, you will be sure to have hundreds of people linking to your website in the space of a few months. These will be highly effective and relevant links that will attract people interested in your niche. Some people do not take the linkbaiting approach because they can not be bothered to spend the time coming up with content that is new and different. Instead they spend their time manually building links to their sites. There can really be no comparison between the effectiveness of the two techniques though. Linkbaiting is the hands down winner every time, so long as it is done correctly. If you are not sure how to come up with a great piece of linkbait yourself, or you do not have to the time to do so, then you might want to consider hiring a company to create and promote some content for you. Such services are well-priced when you work out the overall cost per link in the long run. Just choose a company with a track record of coming up with effective linkbait and then sit back and watch your rankings rise.
